Well that’s show 1 done and dusted!
Let’s have a little going over of the few days leading up to the day to achieve the look on stage.
Wednesday:
Weighed in at 223lb (new low this prep)
Started Wednesday with a fasted upper body pump session to push out any remaining glycogen out of stores and get more of response from carbs going In.
After that’s started to load
Day 1
1200g carb
90g fat
All meals went down easy and most importantly zero bloat and digestion bang on.
I used digest gold each meal to make help with the load of food and reduced greens to one greens drink after meal 2.
Thursday:
Woke up 3lb up, stores starting to fill slightly
Load:
1000g carb
90fats
Day 2 was spent travelling from Newcastle to maidenhead, so pretty much most of the day was spent in ten back of a car, short breaks to get a few steps in to help digest food.
Overall digestion still bang on, which I wasn’t expecting with being in the back of a car all day.
Arrived at apartment in Maidenhead at 19:30 went for a walk then just relaxed.
Friday:
Morning weight 230lb
100% filling now
Load:
800 carb
90 fats
With added high fat meal before bed
Relaxed and loaded food until 3pm then headed for first base of tan.
Standing backstage with the likes of 300lb Josh law walking round made me feel like a little boy and actually sent my head west 😆
Tan done, trainer sock off and clothes back on I went in to weigh in and register.
Last year at weigh in I stepped on the scales at 216lb as a heavy weight
This year I was 238lb
That’s a successful off-season and prep 🙂
At this point I’m already feeling a sense of achievement from moving to supers from heavies!
Back to the apartment and Tom pops round to have a look at me,
I knew I was holding a little water, possibly spilled abit or possibly the pre show anxiety kicking in abit.
Nevertheless Tom kept my head switched on and explained the procedure to reduce water after last meal etc.
Show day:
Woke up after a lot of urinating through the night!
Do I look yet?
Let’s just look at a quad
Popped a quad round the corner in sight of the mirror
It’s in
Jumped in front of the mirror
Most muscular
YESS I’m in
Dried out nicely over night and still full !
That is the moment you wait for and keeps you awake all night long!
Thank god !!
Sent pics to Tom and he’s happy
Reply was ‘YEAH BUDDYYYYYY’
Now my anxiety is out the window and I’m ready to go!
Backstage a light pump with some salt reintroduced with some water and things started to pop.
Jumped in stage and took 1st place in supers and actually enjoyed every moment on stage with zero stess and very little fatigue which was a bonus.
Plan is to tighten up a little more for the weider in 11 days and rinse/repeat carb up with maybe a little less on last day to avoid holding water night before.
Let’s see what we can do 😁
2.5 weeks out
2.5 weeks out, 2 weeks til carbs go in😛
Feeling good, obviously some hard days but embracing them to dig for the last bit of condition to come in.
Currently weight 230lb but o think another 6lb to come off before fill up.
Refeeds going in more regular, last feed was sat and Sunday of 1000g carbs both day which filled me out great, body responding how it should.
Looking forward to the protocols going into the last couple weeks adding winstrol and possibly superdrol which I Havnt done before, very keen to see how body responds to this.
Plan after regional will be Ben weider then possibly Sweden, just take it a show at a time 😎
Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
