Hey guys,

So after a long week I’m finally back to full health after Zanzibar. The moral of the story I learned here was food poisoning is no joke! I thought I would have been back to normal in a day or two but how wrong I was. It took around 5 days for me to actually keep food down so getting straight back in the gym on no food wasn’t wise.

So how did I actually manage this week?
- I didn’t force feed myself whilst digestion was off.
- Utilised Strom Hydramax to improve hydration whilst food/water intake wasn’t optimal
- Rest, then took a progressive approach to get back to training. Once food was actually going in and staying down I first ensured that steps were hit, then I implemented my normal cardio and then once I’d had a couple of days of food/activity I implement training.
I stuck to 1/2 reps in reserve just for the first session but the second I felt like I could full send and I actually had a great session.

All in all, after being unwell and a few days back on plan i’m 1lb down on the scale pre holiday as we continue in the diet phase.

No changes to the plan as of yet with the inconsistency of being away/being unwell however we have seen a plateu in bodyweight over the last couple of days so I can imagine we will continue to push forward at next check in.

I’m just ready to start really seeing/feeling the changes after a very long and uncomfortable offseason

Hey what is up,

So not a lot of change for me this week because myself and Joe actually went to Zanzibar for 5 days.

To say it was difficult to stay on plan in an all inclusive off the coast of Africa was hard is an understatement!
They really don’t have the same food options as we would in the UK or Dubai and every meal apart from breakfast was actually pretty difficult to put together. THEN I ended up getting food poisoning on the last day before our flight home which was absolutely not ideal (as you can imagine)

So first day back home the plan was to get straight back to it but after not eating for over 24hrs and being super unwell this first day back is going to be a rest day, try and hold some food down and then hopefully back to normal tomorrow.

Very annoying and not what I had planned but it is what it is.
As much as I enjoy getting to see new places, when you enjoy doing what you do you really miss your normal routine so I’m glad to be back and no trips away for the foreseeable.
